In France, there have never been so many consumers of organic products as there are today.

Nearly one in two French people (49%) now consumes something organic at least once a month*. Worldwide, the market for organic, eco-friendly and health food products has almost quadrupled in the space of 10 years**.

To achieve growth on this high-potential market, NATEXPO, the trade show for organic and eco-friendly products and food supplements, is France’s most compelling B to B event.

* 12th wave of CSA Agence BIO barometer: quantitative survey conducted for the first time online (instead of face-to-face), from 4 to 6 March on a sample of 1,000 people aged 18 and over, representative of the French population (in terms of gender, age, socio-economic classification of head of household, region and urban centre size).


Organic: booming in France and throughout the world

The consumption of organic goods is a strong underlying trend in France and around the world. Worth over 60 billion dollars, the global market has virtually quadrupled in the space of 10 years.[1]. In France, the organic market was worth more than 4.5 billion euros at the end of 2013, with sales of Off-premises organic products up 9% on 2012[2]. In On-premises, the presence of organic has also stepped up a gear and holds considerable development potential. Outside of their own homes, French people want to consume organic produce where and when they like. 68% of parents say they are interested in having organic food in schools, 53% of workers, in their workplace and 54% of French people, in commercial catering[3].


The organic cosmetics and food supplement markets are also growing. In 2013, the organic cosmetics market was worth 395 million euros, a 4% increase compared to 2012, and the food supplement market amounted to 1.35 million euros, up 3.5% on 2012[4]
